Acting CEO of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Ms. E. J. Mitei, MBS, has reaffirmed that the success of the Commission depends on the professionalism, dedication, and competence of teachers and Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs).

Speaking during a stakeholder engagement at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), Ms. Mitei told participants that their input is critical in shaping the future of the teaching service.

She highlighted that the ongoing review of the Career Progression Guidelines is aimed at strengthening systems that support career growth and professional development for teachers and CSOs.

“The process is consultative, bringing together teachers, CSOs, and stakeholders to build a practical and responsive framework,” Ms. Mitei said.

While officially opening the forum, she emphasized that the review is more than a policy update. “It is a strategic investment in talent development, productivity, and organizational resilience within the Commission,” she added.
