Narok Farmers welcomes CS Kagwe directives

Narok Farmers have welcomed the directive by the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe to take their 321,000 bags to the National Cereals and Produce Board and receive their payments within 30days.

Speaking after a consultative meeting between wheat farmers and the Cereals Growers Association held at NCPB , Narok Agriculture CEC Joyce Keshe and the NCPB South Rift regional Manager Emily Okwai have assured farmers of the commitment to mop up all the wheat in the region.

All the concerns around prices, payments and other logistics were resolved unlocking a temporary stalemate that arose from the farmers.
