Call for Investigations into Rising Car Theft in Bomet

Linet Chepkorir has called on security agencies and investigative units in Bomet County to urgently investigate the rising cases of motor vehicle theft being reported across the county.
Speaking at Kipketii in Boito Ward, Konoin Sub-county, Chepkorir expressed concern over the increasing number of stolen vehicles, saying the trend has left residents living in fear and suffering financial losses.
She urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other security agencies to intensify investigations, arrest those behind the thefts, and ensure they are prosecuted to restore public confidence and security.
The Woman Representative also appealed to vehicle owners to remain vigilant by enhancing the security of their vehicles and promptly reporting any suspicious activities to the police.
Chepkorir further called for stronger collaboration between the public and security agencies, noting that community cooperation is essential in combating organized crime and ensuring the safety of residents and their property.
She was in her empowerment tour to Konoin Sub-County.
