The final round of the Shell Autocross Championship unfolded at Stoni Athi Resort over the weekend, delivering a thrilling spectacle as drivers battled tough track conditions in pursuit of season-ending glory.

Ganatra, Hinga, Gohil and Ababu Among the Standout Performers

Senior categories saw dominant performances from Aman Ganatra, Michuki Hinga, Neel Gohil, Cheche Ababu and Sean Njumbi. The Autocross Plus class also featured strong showings from Tariq Rashid, Ian Duncan, Neel Gohil and Suleiman Munyua.
In the Autocross class, Amaan Ganatra and his navigator Mudasar Chaudry produced one of the day’s most impressive drives in the 4WD with 35mm restrictor category, registering a best-of-three time of 09:04.72. Sahib Omar followed with 09:14.51, while Issa Amwari, navigated by Mwangi Kioni, completed the top three with 09:21.80.
Junior Drivers Deliver Thrilling Battles
The junior categories lived up to expectations, showcasing exceptional talent and competitive spirit.
Alpha Junior Buggy

Kyan Githinji Gichuki – 13:43.89

Beta Junior Buggy
Muzakkir Mohammed – 12:56.63
Allan Bengi – 13:51.01

The Cadet Junior Buggy category featured a close contest among the Bengi family and Karamveer Rooprai. Cheche Ababu emerged victorious with 09:45.84, followed by Eann Bengi with 09:57.57. Rooprai secured third with 10:50.47.
Intensity Peaks in the Night Stage
The Night Stage brought an additional layer of difficulty as drivers navigated reduced visibility and shifting track conditions. Amaan Ganatra and Mudasar Chaudry topped the 4WD with 35mm restrictor category with a time of 03:23.6, while Ian Duncan followed closely at 03:32.9. In the 2WD turbo cars category, Suleiman Munyua posted the best performance of the night.
Junior drivers again impressed, with standout times from Kyan Githinji Gichuki in Alpha Junior Buggy (06:26.5) and Muzakkir Mohammed in Beta Junior Buggy (05:16.4).

With Round 7 now complete, competitors are already looking ahead. The upcoming season of the Shell Autocross Championship promises even more speed, adrenaline and rising talent as drivers aim to build on their finale performances.
