Emurua Dikirr MP David Keter Invites Gachagua to Constituency Amid Political Realignments
By Shadrack Mutai | NAIROBI,
Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament David Keter has invited DCP presidential candidate Rigathi Gachagua to visit the constituency, saying the former Deputy President has the freedom to travel and engage with Kenyans across the country.
Speaking during a press conference, Keter extended the invitation to Gachagua, signalling an open stance towards political engagement at a time when political alliances and alignments continue to take shape ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Keter said Gachagua should be free to visit any part of the country and interact with residents, including those in Emurua Dikirr.
The remarks are likely to attract attention given the political significance of the Rift Valley region and the ongoing efforts by different political formations to strengthen their grassroots networks ahead of the next elections.
Gachagua, who is seeking to establish the Democratic Congress Party (DCP) as a national political vehicle, has been making efforts to expand the party’s presence beyond its traditional political base.
Keter’s invitation could therefore provide an opportunity for the DCP leader to engage directly with residents in Emurua Dikirr and gauge the political mood in the area.

With political realignments gathering momentum, the invitation is being viewed as another indication of the increasingly fluid political landscape ahead of 2027.
