Emeritus Bishops Kosgei and Chemon Finally Bury The Hatchet

The highly publicized split between Full Gospel Churches of Kenya and WorldWide Church in late 90s divided followers between nominated MP Bishop Emeritus Jackson Kosgei and Bishop Emeritus Daniel Chemon.
The wrangles, said to be politically motivated, divided the church into two factions: Worldwide Kenya led by Bishop Jackson Kosgei and FGCK led by Bishop Daniel Chemon.
While Bishop Kosgei shifted Worldwide Kenya to Mogotio, Bishop Chemon fashioned his faction as Full Gospel in Kabarnet and Nairobi. The split derailed the church mega projects, including Mogotio FGCK.
And on Saturday, the two church leaders buried the hatchet in a rare meeting of reconciliation which brought together the families of Bishop Chemon and nominated MP Bishop Kosgei at Kelelwa in Mogotio Constituency.
On his Facebook page, Kosgei said they reunited with Bishop Emeritus Daniel Chemon after nearly three decades as a way of ending the animosity that has engulfed their families for a long time.
“Speaking blessings over our children after reuniting with my longtime friend and brother in Christ, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Daniel Chemon. A powerful moment of reflection and grace nearly three decades later,” said the nominated Mp.
The two church leaders shared a heartfelt moment of fellowship and breaking bread, exchanging blessings, and praying for their children.
In embracing reconciliation and grace, they wished each other well as they enjoy retirement.
“May our children walk in unity, wisdom, and purpose. May they carry the mantle of peace and service even further than we have,” added Kosgei.
