Kenya Hosts 25th EAC MSME Trade Fair: Celebrating 25 Years of Regional Integration and Innovation

Kenya is set to host the 25th East African Community (EAC) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Trade Fair and Exhibition from 7th to 16th November 2025 at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.
Themed “25 Years of EAC Integration: Advancing Innovation and Regional Value Chains for Competitive MSMEs Towards Sustainable Development,” the event marks a silver jubilee celebration of regional enterprise, creativity, and collaboration.
Over 3,000 exhibitors from all eight EAC partner states—Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Somalia—will showcase their innovations, products, and services. The fair has grown into the region’s largest marketplace for innovators, artisans, and entrepreneurs, driving integration and economic empowerment across East Africa.
This year’s event coincides with President William Ruto’s tenure as Chair of the EAC Heads of State Summit, underscoring Kenya’s leadership in regional integration and inclusive economic growth.
The trade fair will also witness the launch of the International Trade Centre (ITC) regional office in Nairobi, establishing the city as a continental hub for MSME support and cross-border trade facilitation.
According to Cooperatives and MSME Development Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, the fair is a milestone in strengthening the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The fair will feature a high-level opening session officiated by President Dr. William Ruto, a ministerial roundtable with ITC and EAC ministers, and a regional symposium on innovation, integration, and value-chain development for MSME competitiveness.
Kenya welcomes all EAC partner states to experience not only the vibrant trade showcase but also the beauty and diversity of the country—from Nairobi’s iconic national park to its coastal and safari destinations.
