Maasai Leaders laud Ruto for Handing Over Amboseli National Park to Kajiado County

South Rift Chamber of Commerce Chairman David Ole Mpatiany, has joined other Maa leaders in thanking President William Ruto for the decision to transfer the management of Amboseli National Park to the Kajiado County Government.

Speaking to Kass Digital, Ole Mpatiany said the President’s move is a clear sign of trust in the Maasai community’s commitment to environmental conservation.

 

“We thank the President for entrusting our community with the care of Amboseli Park. We are happy to see his promises fulfilled,” he stated.

 

He also commended the efforts of Maa leadership led by Governors Joseph Ole Lenku from Kajiado, Patrick Ole Ntutu from Narok and Jonathan Ole Lelit from Samburu, for their collaborative work in ensuring that the Maasai people engage positively with the current government.

 

Ole Mpatiany expressed confidence that the decision will enhance economic opportunities and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people, while also contributing to national development.
