By Shadrack Mutai | NAIROBI,
President William Ruto is expected to address the nation at 7:00pm today in a highly anticipated speech that is likely to outline the government’s progress on key development priorities while addressing emerging national concerns.
The address comes at a time when the Kenya Kwanza administration has intensified the implementation of major infrastructure, affordable housing, universal health coverage, agricultural reforms and digital transformation programmes aimed at accelerating economic growth and improving livelihoods.

Among the key issues the President is expected to highlight are the government’s efforts to stabilise the economy, reduce the cost of living, create jobs for young people, expand affordable housing, improve healthcare through Taifa Care, strengthen food security and enhance support for farmers through subsidised fertiliser and better market access.
The Head of State is also expected to provide an update on ongoing road construction projects, electricity connectivity, water infrastructure, education reforms and the rollout of digital government services designed to improve service delivery.
Security, the fight against corruption, and the government’s commitment to national unity and peaceful coexistence are also expected to feature prominently in the address as the country continues to pursue its long-term development agenda.

The speech comes amid growing public interest in the government’s economic performance, implementation of flagship projects and plans to sustain growth while creating more opportunities for businesses, investors and the youth.
Kenyans will be closely watching the address for fresh policy announcements, progress updates and the government’s roadmap for the months ahead.
