The Member of Parliament for Belgut, Nelson Koech, has called for forgiveness and unity within the Kalenjin community following complaints raised by residents over stalled projects and unfulfilled promises under the current government led by William Ruto.
Speaking during the Lenee Emet Show on Kass FM, the MP acknowledged that members of the community have expressed frustration regarding delayed infrastructure projects, incomplete development initiatives, and pledges yet to be fulfilled.
“Our people have genuine concerns about stalled projects and promises that are yet to be realized. I ask for patience and understanding as we continue to engage and push for solutions,” he said during the live interview.
Hon. Koech emphasized that development challenges require collective responsibility and sustained dialogue between leaders and the electorate. He assured listeners that consultations are ongoing to address bottlenecks affecting project implementation.
The interview drew mixed reactions from callers, with some demanding faster action and accountability, while others urged unity and constructive engagement to safeguard the region’s development interests.
Leaders across the region continue to call for cohesion as discussions on service delivery and accountability gain momentum.
