KASS Media Journalist Named Among Africa’s Top Financial Journalists

Kass TV  Journalist Carolyne Tomno, has been named one of the winners at the 2024 Sanlam Group Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism.

 

 

Carolyne emerged as 2nd runner-up in the Broadcast TV and Video category during the award ceremony held, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

“This award recognises excellent financial reporting on the way business engages environmental issues and African responses to environmental change, climate issues and sustainability of the planet,” the organisers said.

 

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the Sanlam Group Awards recognises outstanding financial journalism across Africa.

 

From uncovering grassroots financial realities to analyzing continental trends, Carolyne continues to set herself  apart through balanced, insightful, and solution-driven journalism that informs and inspires audiences across the region.

 

“This recognition not only showcases individual brilliance but also reflects the collective strength, credibility, and growing influence of KASS Media in shaping conversations on Africa’s economy and sustainable growth” says Carolyne.

The Winner in the  category was  Devi Sankaree Govende from eTV, South Africa.

 
 
The awards had received a record-breaking 237 entries from 17 countries, including Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Ghana, and Uganda.

 

The Sanlam group awards for excellence in financial Journalism,were established in 1974 and reward excellence in financial Journalism across the African continent.
