Residents of the newly established Narok-Amalo Sub-County have high expectations that the development will create employment opportunities, particularly for the youth who have struggled for long with joblessness.
Speaking during a public baraza in Sogoo, nominated MCA Jefferson Kiprukwen Langat expressed optimism that the creation of the Sub-County by the government through the Ministry of Interior and National Administration will bring much-needed relief to the young people of the larger Narok South region.
“We are happy as a Sub-County and as a people of this Sub-County that recruitment will be done here and it will help our youths to get jobs,” he stated.
Langat also assured residents that challenges such as access to identification cards and other vital services would soon be addressed through the new administrative unit.
In addition, he officially announced his intention to vie for the Member of Parliament seat for Narok South in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
