Kenya, Talent Beyond Boundaries Canada Sign MoU on Skilled Labour Mobility
By Samson Kurgat | NAIROBI,
The Government of Kenya, through the State Department for Labour and Skills Development, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Talent Beyond Boundaries Canada to establish safe, regular and ethical labour mobility pathways for skilled Kenyan workers seeking employment opportunities in Canada.
The agreement was signed by Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development Shadrack Mwadime and Canadian High Commissioner to Kenya Joshua Tabah. The partnership seeks to expand access to international employment opportunities through employer engagement, skills matching and migration support for qualified Kenyans, including refugees and other eligible skilled individuals.

The collaboration will also promote the protection, welfare and dignity of workers throughout the migration process while ensuring their skills and qualifications match the needs of Canadian employers. It aims to create structured and responsible pathways for connecting skilled talent with opportunities in the Canadian labour market.

The partnership is expected to promote inclusive access to global employment opportunities, create meaningful livelihoods for skilled workers and strengthen Kenya-Canada relations. Both parties have expressed commitment to translating the agreement into tangible benefits for workers, employers and the two countries.
