Police in Sotik, Bomet County, Seize 7 bags of bhang

Police in Sotik, Bomet County, have impounded a bhang haul of unknown value.

 

Police comandant Muturi Mbogo said the police intercepted a private vehicle which was being used to ferry the consignment at Sotik KCC Road block.

 

“Police who were on their routine duties flagged down a private car and occupants disembarked and escaped raised suspicion and in checking we discovered the consignment of bhang,” said Mbogo.

 

He said a man hunt has started for the suspect as investigation continue.

 

Mbogo urged members of the public to volunteer information that would see arrest of the run away suspects.

 

Mbogo decried how Sotik has become a transite route for nacotics saying police were on high alert and will not allow the illicit trade to continue.

 

The police commandant further warned locals to shun use of nacottics.

 

Cases of bhang bein intercepted is on the rise in Bomet.

 

Two months ago, another consignment of bang was intercepted in Bomet with suspects being arrested and charged.
