Narok MCAs cry foul over county government’s incomplete projects and inequality
By Albert Tonui
Mogondo ward Member of County Assembly Kipsang Mibei and his Ilkerin Ilkerin counterpart Ezekiel Kosgei have accused the Narok county government for failing to fulfil their pledges despite county assembly passing budgets for the projects.
According to Kipsang Mibei the executive has failed the residents despite them passing budgets that enables them to allocate Ksh. 100M to every ward for development.
He asks the executive led by governor Patrick Ntutu to act swiftly and initiate more projects as they finish the incomplete ones arguing that the county government has a lot of money at their disposal.

”We, as a county assembly of Narok have passed budgets from the year 2022 to 2024 where in the County Integrated Development program(CIDP) every ward is entitled to Ksh. 100M but am surprised there are no projects worth the released funds.” He said.
Interestingly even those projects which were started in the year 2023 are incomplete. The government should tell the Narok county residents the truth and do to them the necessary projects as budgeted.” Kipsang said.
On his part former Emurua Dikirr candidate for parliamentary seat David Keter alias Dollarline said residents from the constituency have not much to celebrate arguing that the distribution of the resources amongst them has always been unfair alleging that the area MP and NG-CDF offices serve only their supporters.

”We all struggled to get freedom from the then larger Kilgoris constituency thinking that we were going, as Emurua Dikirr constituency, to get better services but unfortunately the resources go to one section of the political divide leaving the rest of us in the cold.
The leaders in charge should serve all the people equally. Road construction, bursary distribution among others should reach all corners.” Keter said.
Speaking in the same function in Kibisorwet village during a fundraiser for a university student Ilkerin ward MCA Ezekiel Kosgei said he is not amused at how the Narok county government is handling the Olbosimoru Mau evictees.
Kosgei says the Narok county governor Patrick Ntutu sidelines other communities in handling their alleging that he only assists the Maa speaking evictees and leaving out the Kalenjins.
