Fire Razes Down a Dormitory at Koiwo High School in Bomet

A fire has destroyed a 113-capacity dormitory at Koiwo Boys High School in Konoin, Bomet County.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 am, with no injuries reported.
A fire disaster response team from Bomet County rushed to the scene and attempted to contain the blaze, but unfortunately, nothing was salvaged from the dormitory.
According to Bomet County Fire and Disaster Officer Stanley Mutai, the cause of the fire is yet to be established, and the value of the destroyed property remains undetermined.
Mutai urged school administrators to heighten vigilance, especially as students prepare for the upcoming national examinations.
