Elderly Couple Killed in Elburgon, Suspect Arrested

Police in Elburgon, Nakuru County, are investigating the murder of an elderly couple whose bodies were found dumped in a pit latrine at their home.

The victims, Pius Machogu, 72, and his wife Jerusha Kwamboka, 70, were reported missing before neighbors raised the alarm. Their bodies were later retrieved from the latrine by police and locals.

A farm worker suspected to be behind the killings has been arrested. However, a female house help who also worked in the homestead is missing.

Confirming the incident, Molo OCPD Timon Odingo said the suspect is in custody and investigations are ongoing. He appealed for calm as police pursue leads on the case.

The killings have shocked the Elburgon community.
