Bomet Fake Pastor Denied Bail

Zachary Kibet Rotich, a pastor who was accused of assaulting and torturing members of his Bethel church in Kapkwen Bomet county today was arraigned in Bomet Law courts.
Mr. Rotich a famous Kapkwen pastor to his flock, was accused of assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to his members on 19th of February 2025 at around 1000hrs at his church in Kapkimolo sub-location, itembe location in Chepalungu Bomet county.
Mr. Rotich who appeared before Bomet law courts resident magistrate Lyn Michuki together with others who were not present in court was accused of assaulting Mercy Cherotich, occassioning bodily harm.
He was denied bond following a plea by Bomet ODPP lead by prosecuter Peter Mwangangai that there is likelihood that the accused will interfere with evidence and plans to arrest other accused.
Mention scheduled for 6th March 2025 for predetermination of bail/bond application and setting of dates for hearing.
