Kingdom Bank Expands Reach with New Bungoma Branch to Boost MSME Growth
By Victor Korir | BUNGOMA, KENYA,
Kingdom Bank has opened its 24th branch in Bungoma Town as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen financial inclusion and support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Kenya.
The new branch, located at Yogi Building along Moi Avenue, is strategically positioned in Bungoma’s central business district. The town’s proximity to the Malaba border point and its vibrant commercial activities make it a key hub for trade and cross-border business.

Kingdom Bank Managing Director Anthony Mburu said the expansion aligns with the bank’s mission to empower local entrepreneurs, traders, and farmers through affordable and flexible financial services.
“We are pleased to establish a presence in Bungoma, a county with immense potential across agriculture, health, trade, and hospitality,” Mr. Mburu said. “This branch reflects our strategic positioning as the MSME Bank, dedicated to delivering flexible and affordable financial solutions.”
The branch will offer a range of financial services including agriculture financing, asset financing, trade finance, and working capital solutions tailored to local business needs. Bungoma’s agricultural sector — known for maize, sugarcane, peanuts, and bananas — stands to benefit from specialized financing for tractors, machinery, and farm equipment.
Additionally, Kingdom Bank’s Faidi Dada solution will expand access to financial services for women entrepreneurs, particularly at Chwele Market, one of Western Kenya’s largest open-air markets.
Customers will also have access to Kingdom Bank’s digital banking channels, as well as the Co-operative Bank of Kenya’s ATM network and Co-op Kwa Jirani agents nationwide.
The Bungoma branch is expected to enhance service delivery, grow the bank’s market share, and strengthen its position as a trusted financial partner for MSMEs and retail clients across Kenya.
