Suzuki by CFAO has announced a KES 2 million sponsorship of the Kenya Rugby team, becoming the official transport partner for the HSBC SVNS2 Rugby Sevens Tournament taking place on Saturday, 14th, and Sunday, 15th February at Nyayo National Stadium.
The sponsorship aims to empower local talent, strengthen the national team, and support the development of rugby in Kenya, ensuring the national team continues to shine on the global stage.
As part of the initiative, the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Executive Committee will receive mobility solutions including the Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Fronx, and Suzuki Grand Vitara, providing players and administrators the support they need to focus on excellence both on and off the field.
At the cheque handover ceremony, Juliana Wakwoo, Suzuki Brand Manager, said:
“Kenya’s rugby journey is one defined by energy, resilience, and triumph against all odds, qualities that mirror who we are as a brand. Just like the players, our vehicles are built to go above the limits, offering power, reliability, and efficiency in equal measures. We are proud to support the national team as they chase triumph in the upcoming tournament.”
KRU Chairperson Harriet Okach welcomed the partnership, describing it as a valuable investment in the rugby fraternity. She highlighted the positive impact it will have on players and the growth of the sport in the country.
“We are honored to have Suzuki as a partner, whose commitment aligns perfectly with the spirit of resilience that defines both the Kenyan rugby team and the Suzuki brand. This collaboration signals a shared belief in the power of rugby to inspire communities and elevate the local sporting scene,” she added.
Through this partnership, Suzuki continues to demonstrate its commitment to championing those who push boundaries, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of reliability, innovation, and forward momentum.
