Kenya and UAE Sign Seven Landmark Agreements to Boost Bilateral Ties

Kenya and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors, marking a new chapter in the growing relationship between the two nations.

The signing ceremony took place at State House Nairobi and was witnessed by President William Ruto and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This latest development follows the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries in January 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

The newly signed agreements span diverse areas including military affairs, economic development, energy, transport, customs, business collaboration, and railway development, reflecting a shared commitment to deepen strategic ties.

These agreements underscore the commitment by Nairobi and Abu Dhabi to build a robust, forward-looking partnership that supports mutual growth, innovation, and stability in the region.
