Kipsigis Council of Elders Chairman Calls for Uniform Development in The Country

Kipsigis council of elders chairman Kiptabot Arap Mosonik has asked the government to ensure all parts of the country benefit from various development activities.

 

Kiptabot says President William Ruto’s Rift Valley region has an equal right to get development projects just like other areas which have benefited from mega government projects.

 

”We hear that our government is doing great development projects in other regions. It is also time that the Kenya Kwanza government to consider Rift Valley in matters development. We should not be forsaken at the expense of other areas, ” said Mosonik.

The chairman opines that the government should put up a good number of industries in local areas such as Emurua Dikirr so that the youth can get employment opportunities and reduce idleness and other frustrations affecting the unemployed youth.

 

He at the same time asked the government to construct good roads in order to help traders access markets for their produce.

 

”Our President should consider building many factories in this region in order to create job opportunities for many young people. They should also construct many good roads in order to boost business activities and movement of goods and services,” he said.

Arap Mosonik at the same time requested President Ruto to dialogue with the Gen Z and hear their pleas so as to have a peaceful and cohesive country. He also pleaded with politicians to refrain from inciting and facilitating the youth to cause mayhem.

 

”I ask the head of state to embrace dialogue with Gen Zs and the opposition to stop inciting and paying the young people to demonstrate, cause violence and big losses in the country,” added Kiptabot.
