Fresh Ethnic Clashes Rock Mau Narok

Tension is high in Tipis, Mau Narok, Njoro Sub-County, following fresh ethnic clashes.
Several houses have been torched and a number of people injured.
According to Njoro Sub-County Police Commander, the violence was triggered by protests over lack of electricity in the area, a problem that has persisted for the past two months.
The dominant community is reported to have turned against members of other communities during the unrest.
Meanwhile, residents blocked the busy Nakuru – Narok road at Mwisho wa Lami trading centre, further escalating the situation.
