As the Board of Directors of Kass Media Group, we received with deep sorrow and profound sadness the news of the passing of Ambassador Mama Lily Sambu, the beloved spouse of our esteemed colleague, veteran broadcaster, author and culturalist Dr. Kipkoeech Araap Sambu.
Ambassador Lily Sambu was not only a retired diplomat who represented Kenya with distinction across Africa, Europe, and the USA but also a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, and servant to both her family and country.
Her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her, as she was a passionate and selfless woman who dedicated her life to uplifting others.
Her wisdom and vast experience in foreign affairs, education and governance were invaluable.
She carried the true spirit of diplomacy, ensuring that her contributions uplifted individuals and institutions alike. She nurtured and mentored many, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and leadership.
A true ambassador in every sense, Mama Lily was hardworking and committed to ensuring that wherever she went, she left a legacy of excellence.
Beyond her professional achievements, she was an unwavering source of inspiration and guidance.
Her wisdom and insights was either directly or indirectly felt in the international programs on Kass FM, offering motivation not only to her spouse Dr. Sambu but also to our support hosts and resource persons in various countries.
