KCA University Hosts 4th Innovation Week & Industry Summit: Bridging Academia and Industry for Kenya’s Economic Transformation

KCA University has launched its 4th Innovation Week & Industry Summit at the Ruaraka Campus, a three-day event uniting government officials, global innovators, industry leaders, and student entrepreneurs in driving Kenya’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy.

 

The summit, themed “Innovate! Elevate! Impact!”, showcases international speakers, student-led innovations, and strategic collaborations aimed at enhancing the country’s innovation ecosystem. Key participants include representatives from the State Department of Science, Research and Innovation, the Anti-Counterfeit Authority, Safaricom PLC, the Kenya Film Commission, CIPS, and GOMYCODE, reflecting a strong public-private partnership in advancing research and industrial transformation.

 

The event focuses on five critical sub-themes: empowering women in innovation, linking higher education with entrepreneurship, strengthening academia–industry collaboration, unlocking opportunities in the creative economy, and exploring AI-driven transformation for SMEs in the digital era.

 

KCA University students are also exhibiting groundbreaking projects, among them Trelio, an AI-powered mental health app; Farmwise, an IoT-based poultry management system; Agro Alert, a data-driven farm advisory platform leveraging NASA APIs; and Quick4lio, a digital portfolio solution for gig-economy professionals.
