Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has strongly condemned the recent revelations of sexual harassment involving children under the age of 18 in Maai Mahiu, as exposed by the BBC.

Speaking to the media from her Nakuru office, Governor Kihika expressed her outrage and concern over the matter. In response, she has formed a seven-member investigative committee, to be led by County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health, Roseline Mungai. The committee will work in collaboration with national government agencies to carry out thorough investigations into the incident.
Governor Kihika urged the committee and all stakeholders involved in the investigations to act without fear or favor, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability. She also issued a stern warning against any attempts to shield perpetrators from justice.
“The rights of children must be protected at all costs. Anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law,” she said.
The governor assured the public that her administration is committed to ensuring justice is served and that such incidents are never repeated in Nakuru County.
