Coca-Cola Africa Delivered $10.4 Billion in Economic Value, Created 1 Million Jobs in 2024

Luanda, Angola, 2 July 2025 – Speaking at the 2025 U.S.-Africa Business Summit, Luisa Ortega, President of Coca-Cola Africa, revealed that the firms operations on the continent delivered $10.4 billion in value-added activity during 2024, according to a fresh economic impact report.
When the company and its bottlers are counted together, the Coca-Cola system also helped to create more than one million jobs across agriculture, manufacturing, retail and transport.
Among the reports key points are the following:
- Coca-Cola hired 36,800 people directly and backed almost one million additional jobs in Africa indirectly.
- Local suppliers provided 83 percent of the companys purchasing on the continent, amounting to $4.3 billion, strengthening its pledge to African economies.
Ortega went on to outline a pipeline of long-term investments: $1.2 billion planned over five years and $25 million earmarked by 2030 to tackle water-related challenges in 20 African markets.
Taken together, the new figures highlight Bottles company significance to Africas growth and its continuing commitment to sustainable development.
