DG Tamalinye: Tunai and Bomori funding Ololmasani Demonstration

By Albert Tonui

Narok County Deputy governor Tamalinye Koech has come out guns blazing accusing those who take to the streets to demonstrate against governor Ntutu’s government as sponsored by the political rivals.

Speaking in Takitech dispensary while launching a maternity wing, a visibly raging Tamalinye blasted the demonstrators saying most of them are just innocent poor residents being misused by rivals who were defeated in politics in 2022.

Demonstrators at Ololmasani, demands Gov. Ntutu to solve their issues

The DG lists former governor Samuel Ole Tunai and area MCA Samuel Towett among those funding the demonstrations meant to put their government in checks and balances arguing that they are baseless and do not have impact.

“The former governor and the area MCA are responsible for funding and guiding those who demonstrate against this county government.

Protestors demands Gov. Ntutu to address their concerns.

We know they are ashamed for what we are doing because he didn’t attempt to do anything during his ten-year tenure.

We are aware that the black man(referring to Ololmasani MCA) is as well behind this demos but we will not give in, we will instead perform what we pledged.” said DG.

The DG also said they are embarking on road construction that target up to 70 kilometres in Ololmasani alone arguing that being a resident from the ward, he has the upper hand to give the best to the ward.

A section of Ololmasani residents took to the streets on Monday demanding completion of stalled projects, accountability and transparency in resources distribution in their ward blaming governor Ntutu and area MP Johana Ngeno for sidelining their area.
