Tensions Rock DCP Nakuru as Rift Emerges Over Ole Nasieku’s Position

By Kass Digital,

A storm is brewing within the Democratic for the Citizens Party (DCP) Nakuru chapter as interim Secretary General Simeon Ole Nasieku comes under fire from some party allies who are reportedly pushing for his replacement with someone from the Mount Kenya region.

Speaking out strongly, Ole Nasieku condemned what he termed as tribal politics, accusing a section of DCP members of undermining his leadership despite his tireless efforts in mobilizing support and registering members across various Nakuru constituencies.

“They want to replace me just because I’m not from the mountain. This is not what DCP stands for,” said a visibly agitated Simeon. “I’ve gone round the county building the party, but now some people want to throw all that away for tribal interests.”

He called on the national leadership of DCP to intervene and restore order before internal divisions taint the party’s image as inclusive and national.

Nasieku also urged aspirants and party members to support fairness and unity within the party, warning that such divisions could cost DCP its grassroots support in Nakuru.
