Ruto Allies Defend Church Construction at State House

Leaders allied to President William Ruto have come out in strong defense of his decision to construct a church within the State House grounds, saying the move will bring Kenya closer to God.

Led by Kacheliba Member of Parliament Titus Lotee, the leaders questioned why critics remained silent during previous regimes when State House reportedly hosted clubs, yet they are now criticizing President Ruto for building a church using his personal funds.

Pokot South MP David Pkosing also defended the President, criticizing former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for consistently pushing a negative narrative against Ruto. He expressed confidence that President Ruto will triumph in the 2027 general elections.
The leaders were speaking in Churo, Tiaty Constituency, during a school thanksgiving event.
