The Safaricom M-Pesa Foundation has launched a KSh 67 million infrastructure project that will see Kamureito Comprehensive School fully rebuilt and upgraded.
Speaking during the launch, Safaricom Foundation Chairman Joseph Ogutu said the project will involve complete reconstruction of the entire school.

The new facilities will include ECDE classrooms, lower and upper primary blocks, as well as Junior Secondary School classrooms. Additional developments will feature an ICT block, three ablution blocks, and a fully equipped science laboratory.
Ogutu assured residents that the construction will be completed within seven months, after which the upgraded school will be handed over for use.
Also present at the event was Safaricom Non-Executive Director Eng. John Mosonik, who called on other leaders and non-governmental organizations to support development initiatives in the region.

He emphasized that partnerships are essential in improving educational infrastructure and fostering community growth.
The project marks a major milestone for Kamureito Comprehensive School, which is expected to have a complete facelift before the end of next year.
