The leadership of Narok County has embarked on a development-focused tour of Amalo Sub-County in Narok South Constituency, underscoring the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and community engagement.

On the first day of the tour, the delegation made its initial stop at Kimogoro T3, where Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu received blessings from the Myoot Kipsigis Council of Elders at the revered Kimogoro Shrine. The ceremony, rich in cultural symbolism, highlighted the county government’s respect for tradition and the role of elders in shaping the future of local governance.

Speaking after the blessing, the Governor emphasized the importance of drawing from the wisdom and guidance of community elders as the county pursues ambitious development goals. “Our unity and progress as a people depend on listening to those who carry the wisdom of generations. Their blessings strengthen our resolve to deliver on key development priorities,” he said.

The Governor noted that the tour will serve as a platform to engage residents directly, listen to their concerns, and highlight ongoing and planned projects aimed at improving livelihoods. These include investments in road infrastructure, education, water accessibility, and agricultural support programs tailored to the unique needs of Amalo Sub-County.

Accompanying the Governor were Deputy Governor Tamalinye Koech, Narok South MP Kitilai Ole Ntutu, Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno, Amalo Ward MCA Hillary Sitienei, and Nominated MCA Jefferson Kiprukwen, among other county and national leaders. Their joint presence reflected a rare show of unity across different political and administrative levels, signaling a strong commitment to collaborative leadership.

Residents turned up in large numbers to welcome the leaders, with many expressing optimism that the tour would translate into tangible improvements in service delivery. Community members cited challenges such as poor road networks, limited health services, and youth unemployment as areas needing urgent attention.

The Governor assured the people of Amalo that the development tour was not a symbolic exercise but a practical step toward strengthening accountability, transparency, and participatory governance. “We are here to listen, to learn, and to act. This is the beginning of a stronger partnership between the county government and the people of Amalo,” he affirmed.

The tour of Amalo Sub-County is part of a broader countywide initiative designed to bring services closer to the people while fostering unity among diverse communities.
