By Isaac Kogei

Evans Juma Wanjala, a self-confessed serial killer, has been sentenced to Life imprisonment after he was found guilty of murdering five minors in Moi’s Bridge area in Uasin Gishu County.

‎‎Wanjala was facing multiple murder charges, specifically for the deaths of Stacy Achieng, Linda Cherono, and Mary Eruza, among others.

‎‎Eldoret High Court judge Justice Reuben Nyakundi found Wanjala guilty of the heinous acts, relying on DNA evidence and medical reports which linked him to one of the victims, Stacy Nabiso who was 10 years old.

Evidence from the prosecution showed that he defiled the minor before killing her and dumping the body in a bush in Moi’s Bridge five years ago.

‎He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges when he was first arraigned at the Kapenguria High Court in 2021 but he later confessed.
