Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has affirmed that the national government is committed to equitable distribution of development projects across the country, regardless of voting patterns.
Speaking in Garsen, Tana River County, during a community empowerment event, the DP emphasized that both regions that supported the government and those that didn’t will benefit equally from national development.
He also took a swipe at opposition leaders, accusing them of promoting tribalism and divisive politics, which he said undermines national unity.
Kindiki praised President William Ruto’s inclusive approach to leadership, saying the broad-based government reflects the will to unify the country.
He further announced the rollout of a youth empowerment initiative, National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA), set to begin this month. Through the program, 70 small businesses in every ward will receive Ksh 50,000 in grants, funded by the national government in partnership with the World Bank.
