Equity Hawks Dominate UoN Dynamites in Decisive League Victory

The Equity Hawks delivered a commanding performance at Africa Nazarene University, overwhelming the University of Nairobi Dynamites with a resounding 75-29 victory in their Kenya Basketball Federation League match. The Hawks showcased a dominant display of both offensive firepower and stifling defence, leaving no doubt about their championship aspirations.

 

Head Coach Ben Oluoch praised his team’s focus and defensive intensity, describing it as one of their most complete performances of the season.

He emphasized the team’s hunger for every possession, highlighting their relentless pursuit of rebounds, steals, and scoring opportunities.

“Our first mission is to try and get back to the finals and defend our title. We want to make sure everybody is mentally and physically prepared and psyched to the maximum… our first mission is to be in the top 5, get in the playoffs, and then we will look to defend the title we won last season.” He speaks.

 

Captain Melissa Akinyi-Otieno, a driving force on the court, attributed the victory to the team’s strong chemistry and disciplined execution. “We adhered to our game plan and maintained unwavering trust in each other,” she stated. “This win was a testament to our collective hustle, heart, and precise execution of our strategies.”
