Empowerment Program Lands in Molo as Leaders Defend Government Projects

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki led an empowerment program today at Molo Constituency, Nakuru County, where he strongly defended the Kenya Kwanza administration’s development agenda and lashed out at critics.

 

 

Addressing residents during the event, DP Kindiki expressed disappointment with leaders opposing government-led empowerment initiatives. He urged them to focus on service delivery and allow the current administration to work for the people, adding that the right time for political competition will be in 2027 when citizens will evaluate their performance.

 

 

His sentiments were echoed by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, who criticized remarks made by former Chief Justice David Maraga — who had dismissed the empowerment programs as a form of looting, questioning how a KSh1,000 grant could be of meaningful help. Ichung’wah defended the initiative, saying it was part of the Kenya Kwanza campaign manifesto and is aimed at uplifting hustlers at the grassroots level.

 

 

Molo MP Kimani Kuria, the host, called on residents to remain optimistic about the government’s plans, assuring them that tangible development projects will soon be visible in the region.

 

The event was attended by several Members of Parliament and Members of County Assembly from across the country.
