DP Kindiki: No New Taxes in 2025/2026 Budget, Just Tighter Tax Enforcement
By Kass Digital,
Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has announced that the national government has not added any new tax in the next year’s budget that is being read in parliament by CS National Treasury John Mbadi today.
Kindiki says what they have done is tightened the loopholes being used to evade tax and pilfer public funds.
He said this at Mutomo, in Kitui South Constituency, Kitui County, during an empowerment event for women groups in Kitui South Constituency where he cautioned opposition leaders against using political competition as an excuse to plant seeds of discord among Kenyans.

He was accompanied by several leaders, among them the area MP Rachael Kaki Nyamai.
Other MPs present were Mwengi Mutuse (Kibwezi West), Vincent ‘Kawaya’ Musyoka (Mwala), Titus Khamala(Lurambi), Innocent Mugabe(Likuyani), Joshua Mwalyo(Masinga), Caleb Mule(Machakos Town), John Bwire(Taveta), nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda, and the private aide to the president Farouk Kibet who echoed his call for Kenyans to guard against leaders who are preaching division among Kenyans.
