Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the Kenya Kwanza government’s unwavering commitment to delivering development and services to the people of Kenya, stating that the administration will not be drawn into non-constructive political debates.
Speaking during the Economic Empowerment Forum for Small-Scale Traders SACCOs in Kiawara, Kieni West, Nyeri County, the Deputy President emphasized that the government is fully focused on transforming the lives of Kenyans through tangible and impactful initiatives.
“This is a time for work, not politics. We have made a deliberate decision not to engage in politicking. The time for political competition will come. Right now, the priority is delivering development to the people,” said Prof. Kindiki.
He further highlighted the significance of ongoing government empowerment programmes, describing them as the true manifestation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
“For young entrepreneurs, the government will support 70 businesses in every ward this month with KES 50,000 each to boost their operations and create more employment opportunities. While some may see this as a small amount, it has the power to transform lives and stimulate local economies,” he noted.
Addressing local concerns, the Deputy President also assured the residents of Kieni that the government is taking decisive steps to resolve the region’s long-standing water shortage.
