Chingondi FC to face Solyot FC in Ken Ben tournament final

Chingondi FC will face Solyot FC in the final of the second edition of the Ken Ben Football Tournament following exciting semi-final action in Mutarakwa Ward, Bomet Central Sub-county.
Chingondi FC sealed their place in the final after registering a convincing 2-0 victory over Tergekyan FC in the semi-final, displaying composure, teamwork and clinical finishing.
Solyot FC, on the other hand, booked their slot in the final after edging out Njorwet FC 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Tergekyan FC and Njorwet FC will now clash in the third-place playoff.
The tournament, which kicked off on December 4 and 5, is sponsored by youthful leader Kenneth Rono and has brought together teams from across Mutarakwa Ward and neighboring areas.
The competition will climax on December 31 at the SachAngwan Primary School grounds, where fans are expected to turn out in large numbers for the grand finale.

Speaking during the tournament, sponsor Kenneth Rono said the Ken Ben Football Tournament is more than just a sporting competition, describing it as a powerful youth empowerment initiative
“Our goal is to give young players an opportunity to showcase their skills and inspire them to pursue their dreams,” Rono emphasized.
He added that the tournament also aims to foster community unity, strengthen grassroots football structures, support local clubs and advocate for improved sports infrastructure, including better stadiums in the region.
Teams are competing for cash prizes, trophies, footballs and full playing kits, while individual excellence and discipline will also be recognized with special awards.
