Afrigas Marks 70 Years of Safety at 8th LPG Conference

Afrigas reaffirmed its commitment to safety, innovation, and growth at the 8th Annual Afrigas Distributors Conference under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Better Together.” The event, held at Enashipai Resort, brought together hundreds of distributors to discuss industry best practices and Afrigas’ efforts to combat illegal refilling.

With 70 years of safety leadership, Afrigas has doubled its LPG cylinder distribution and expanded its market while maintaining strict regulatory standards. Nairobi remains the top LPG consumer, followed by Mombasa, Eldoret, and Mount Kenya.

“Afrigas upholds the highest safety standards to ensure reliable LPG access for Kenyan homes,” said Vivo Energy Kenya MD Peter Murungi. He highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting distributors and expanding safe cooking solutions.

Afrigas continues to innovate with products like Supa Jiko, a cost-effective solution that offers the benefits of a 13kg cylinder at a 6kg price. The event concluded with a Gala Awards Ceremony, recognizing top distributors for their excellence in safety and customer service.

The conference reinforced Afrigas’ mission to empower distributors and ensure millions more Kenyans access safe, high-quality LPG.
