Kimumu Residents Welcome New Police Vehicle to Boost Security
By Isaac Kogey, Eldoret
Residents of Kimumu in Moiben Constituency have received a major security boost after a new Land Cruiser was handed over to Ainabtich Police Station on Friday.
The vehicle was officially handed over by Moiben Member of Parliament, Prof. Phyllis Bartoo.
For years, Kimumu has experienced high levels of insecurity, with slow response to emergencies cited as a major challenge. The new vehicle is expected to enable police officers to respond faster, enhance patrols, and keep criminals on the run.
Speaking during the handover, Prof. Bartoo said the donation will go a long way in protecting lives and property in the area.
“A safer Kimumu means a stronger and more prosperous Moiben,” she said.
The MP also lauded the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, led by Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, for supporting security initiatives in the constituency.
Local leaders and residents welcomed the move, saying it marks a new chapter in the fight against crime in Kimumu.
